Lot 48: my anti bucket list

January 19, 2015

my anti bucket list

first of all, thank you so much for your support and love from friday's post.  i really really hope that this week is a lot better!! really, your support and comfort so so so helped and i can feel your prayers! thank you all so much!

a lot of people write bucket lists, but today i am going to write the opposite of a bucket list.  i am going to write things that i would never, ever do.  because there are a lot of things i will never do.

  • drink alcohol
  • leave the Mormon church
  • run a marathon
  • run a 10k
  • run a 5k
  • run at all
  • go to the gym 6 days a week for the rest of my life
  • like sports
  • like cheese
  • like pickles
  • like stringy noodles
  • root for or like my rival college
  • go back to college
  • fall out of love with taran
  • weigh any less than i do now because that would include me having to go to the gym alll the time and eating practically nothing.  i am at a healthy weight, no need to look like a victora's secret model!
  • be a gym rat
  • like science (sorry hubs)
  • like miley cyrus
  • like justin beiber
  • never understand why miley cyrus or justin bieber are popular or why anybody likes them. i don't get it!! why??!?! explain this to me kym
  • be a model because like i said before, i would have to eat nothing and be at the gym all the time. ps. after the victoria's secret fashion show, on the cosmopolitan youtube channel, i saw the fitness editor take a workout class with a victoria's secret model, and she said that she works out for at least 4 hours a day and she goes to a million classes.  see?  you don't look like a victoria's secret model because you aren't paid to look like one.  so much work goes into it!! so no need to be jealous!

What would we find on your blog? fitness? travel?  recipes? My name is Taylor and I am a recent college graduate trying to figure out what I want to do in life. I graduated with a Chemistry degree but that doesn't fuel my passion so I started Tay Meets World to share all of the things that I love. You will find everything from fashion & beauty posts, recipes, life happenings, and current ramblings that I just have to share!

If I could have dinner with anyone in the world who would it be? it would probably be Deborah Lloyd or one of my favorite bloggers (bigger than me). I chose Deborah Lloyd because she is a Co-President of kate spade and if you read my blog at all, you know my obsession for that brand. I would also love to have a dinner with Julia Engel (Gal Meets Glam), Rachel Parcell (Pink Peonies), or heck, let's just get all bloggers together and have a big dinner…wouldn't that be fun!?

describe your perfect saturday: A perfect Saturday for me starts with a cup of coffee, taking blog photos, crafting, spending the day with my boyfriend, going to the movies, and enjoying a nice dinner. Ideally, I would rather spend most Saturdays in Paris, Italy, or Greece but for now, South Dakota will do:)

if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would love to travel the world. I am in a time in my life where I want to experience everything life has to offer…it's too short not too. I would love to go to London, Paris, Florence, Tuscany, Rome, Greece, Barcelona, Madrid, Australia, etc, etc. These would make great blog posts too;)

if you could give advice to your younger self what would it be? The best advice I have for my younger self is simply this: Love What You Do, Always. If you spend everyday going to a job you hate, living somewhere that is not inspiring, or hanging around people that are emotionally draining, you will be miserable. Love your job, even if your dirt poor, love where you live, even if it's the size of a dorm, and surround yourself with people that have the same aspirations you do.

I want to thank Lauren for being such a sweet and honest person (her blog is a great reflection of that) and I hope you will all stop by and enjoy a post or two! {awww you're too sweet}

  1. Hehe, this made me giggle. I love that you owned the fact that you aren't an exercise lover. Nothing wrong with that! :)

  4. I loathe Miley and Justin. Like, I just don't get it. I don't think Miley respects herself too much and I think she's looking for attention.

Glad to hear thigs are going better this week!

  6. Hahaha. I loved the run a 10k, run a 5k, run at all.
I just said to Ben the other day while sitting at the beach stuffing my face with a muffin while we watched people run by that I would never run outside, ever. I will walk at a brisk pace, I will stay healthy, however, you will never see me run unless I am being chased.
