alright, let's go!!!

1. i have no toenails on my big toe. i was a serious dancer for 12 years and had a ton of ingrown toenails.  i had to have them surgically removed twice and now they just grow back really weird and gross.  they are dead and are a lovely combination of blue, purple, green and ugliness.  i have to always have them painted to prevent scaring anyone to death.

2. i hate cheese.  when i tell people this, they can't believe it!! it is like something that people just can't seem to fathom.  it makes eating out rather difficult, but i really really hate everything about it!!!

3. i hate the outdoors and anything to do with hiking, camping, any of it.  i think i live in the wrong state, because utah is the place for outdoor activities!! everyone who isn't from here moves here for the outdoors!!  i  also think i was born into the wrong family because everyone in my family loves the outdoors and they go hiking and biking and and camping rock climbing and skiing and i hate all of it!!

4.  i love big cities.  i have to live in them.  i get really depressed in small towns.  i grew up in a very small town.  currently, the population of my hometown is 76,000 and when i grew up there, it was considerably low, it has grown a ton since i left six years ago.  i will never live there ever again, i need to live in large cities.  to some people, salt lake city isn't a big city, but it is to me!! the valley has a population of 1 million.  and i love it!!

5.  i prefer winter to summer.  i am usually happiest in winter and usually get really depressed when summer rolls around. i don't know what it is, but i really hate the heat!! which is ironic, since my hometown (saint george, utah) is the desert and gets to 120 degrees in august.  it never snows and when it does, it is more like rain that is thick and doesn't stick when it lands.  every summer, i get so depressed but in the winter, i am happiest.  it's weird.  different circumstances every season, but for some odd reason, i am always happiest in the winter!!

6.  the #1 destination on my bucket list to visit is greece.  the pictures i have seen!! they are enough to make me want to quit my job, pack for a month and jump on a plane!! my sister had the wonderful opportunity to do a greek cruise and visit all the greek islands.  i am so jealous, and looking through all her pictures, i about died!!  it is for sure, my #1 destination to go to!!

7.  i really hate it when readers don't take the time to check out my wonderful sponsors.  kaylee from dirt road day dreams tells it like it's real and her blog is filled with funny humor and a giving heart and we are twins because we rarely wear makeup!! a fellow believer in  GOd, you might want to check out her last minute gift ideas!!  and i JUST LOVED her post yesterday!! amen sister!!

and i nominate..... all of you!!!

i am so excited to introduce you to someone who i really admire in the blog world, kaylee from dirt road daydreams!

Tell us a little bit about what we will find on your blog. Life? Recipes? Fitness? You'll  probably see everything except cooking on Dirt Road Daydreams. I'm a terrible cook! Hey, you can't do it all! I started my blog with this verse in my head. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:14 So almost everything on my blog is geared toward leading a more intentional life.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be? Oh man, part of me wants to say Jennifer Lawrence right now! Who doesn't love her?! But really, my husbands family always talks about his Granny. She passed away right before my husband and I met and I would have loved to meet her. From what I hear she was a firecracker of a woman, that made the best pancakes and jam and loved her family.

Describe your perfect Saturday "That’s a tough one. I would have to say April 25th. Because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket." Name that movie! haha It actually falls on a saturday this year! I had to!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Or, what is your favorite place you have traveled to? I'm such a beach girl. I absolutely love the water. We visited St.Lucia a couple of years ago and it was just breathtaking. The water was so clear and locals said they never see sharks. I'd love to visit again or go to Australia one day and use my terrible Aussie accent.

what is your favorite holiday tradition? Decorating the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving. We turn on Elf and laugh and sing while decorating the tree and house! But first, we all must pinky promise not to argue. The pinky promise is mostly for mommy and daddy. "The star is leaning." "No, it's not." "Yes, it is." "Well, I'm not climbing up there again." haha. We are still a young family and are creating a few other traditions as we grow.

kaylee's three favorite posts:

  1. haha Kaylee you're not going to believe this but when I filled out my sponsor form I answered the "perfect Saturday" question the exact same way!!!

  2. I love these posts where we get to learn more about the ladies behind the blogs!

  3. I was born & raised in Karachi which is the largest city of Pakistan but I had to move to a small town at outskirts for a period of 5 years. It wasn't really my favorite time. Big cities have some attraction that can't be neglected x

  4. I didn't know that about your toenails. I did know about your dislike of cheese, but I still find that so...strange. I love cheese!

And Kaylee seems awesome. I'm going to check out her blog now.

  5. Clogging grow up I always heard of girls losing their toe nails; thank God for nail polish. I can't imagine going through life without cheese, but hey, to each her own! ;)

  6. Whaaat?! I didn't know the whole toenail thing you described could happen. Learn something new everyday. I love big cities and big towns. I don't like in the country, small town anything. I can handle it for a couple days, but then I get depressed like you. I couldn't do it full time. I want to go to Greece too! It's #2 on my to-travel list. Greece date? Haha.

Hearing from you makes my day!!
