Lot 48: my biggest pet peeves

my biggest pet peeves

i am excited to talk today about all my pet peeves, because we know i have plenty of them, so when helene brought up this subject for her and tay's #blogtober14 challenge, bouncing happened, as it does when i don't have to think up something to write.

this topic has just really been on my mind lately.  PET PEEVES. they can really just make you lose your appetite.  right? so lets discuss to get this all off our chests. ps. i think the above picture of my nephew was appropriate for this post because he looks like he is NOT to be messed with.

  • picking food out of their teeth with their finger and then licking the spit off after. YUCK.
  • sucking in their spit through their mouth
  • mouth breathing
  • parents not keeping track of their kids and letting them come up to your table and steal your cookie (true story blog post to come )
  • when somebody says my name wrong (LA-uren not LO-REN)
  • misuse of grammar
  • when people ask me when my husband and i are going to have kids
  • when somebody walks in the middle of the hallway reaaaaalllllyyyy sllooooooowwwwllly and you can't pass them.
  • when i can't remember my password!
  • people talking on the phone at the library or gym
  • when a movie that would be good is filled with plot holes and makes it stupid. or cheesy movies that are blatantly cheesey, its just annoying. we recently saw paul walker's last film brick mansions, and oh my gosh was it bad and oh so very cheesy and i'm like "whhhhhyyyy? whyyyyyy paul whyyyy?  whyyyy were you always in stupid movies??
  • when people can talk about nothing besides sports
  • when people i love make really bad life decisions
  •  when you hang out with someone and they are on their phone the entire time
  • when bloggers who use blogger turn on their mobile view of their blog. i do a lot of blog reading on my phone and i want to see your design while i read!! it helps me connect with you and feel like we are talking as friends instead of reading a post of someone i don't know. seriously, this drives me CRAZY.
  • when you don't scroll down to meet emelia

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i am happy to introduce you to emelia from dream big and buy the shoes!  engaged and a step mother to be, her blog is filled with fun posts and about her love for coleslaw.  she believes you are never too young or too old to dream.needless to say, emelia is very inspiring.

tell us a little bit about what we will find on your blog. Life? Recipes? Fitness? My blog is everything about life from recipes to daily adventures and most importantly living life to the fullest.

if you could have dinner with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be? Britney Spears. NO DOUBT about it baby!

describe your perfect Saturday: My perfect Saturday would include me having the day off from work (my weekends are Sunday&Monday). I would start with some coffee, preferably a seasonal drink from Starbucks. I also love a good pedicure and some shopping and then ending the night with dinner and a movie with my fiance or a fun night out with our friends.

if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be? Or, what is your favorite place you have traveled to? My favorite place I have traveled to is the Bahamas. It was absoutely breathtaking and we made a ton of lifelong memories. Next on the list is Italy or Paris...we are deciding on where to take our honeymoon and these are 2 that are at the top of the list.

what are you going to be for halloween? or what was your favorite halloween costume? Picture of said costume encouraged!! I have NO idea what I am going to be for Halloween. I am seeking suggestions and browsing Pinterest for this one. I'm obsessed with cupcakes but am not super crafty...maybe I could hire someone to make me a costume. Any takers?

  1. Eek, I'm totally guilty of Lo-ren. It's how we say it here in Chicago, which is surprising given how much we like our a sounds.

  2. There isn't really much I hate more than talking about sports. Sometimes my grandpa tries to talk about fishing and my eyes literally glaze over I swear!
