Lot 48: i can't believe i did that

July 3, 2014

i can't believe i did that

we all have those things, right?  those "oh my gosh i can't believe that i was that stupid or immature that i did that" moments in our lives right?  today, i was thinking about all the stupid things i have done and thought i'd share because we all love being nosy and hearing stupid things that we all have done. right?

//i was a performer growing up and did lots and lots of shows (hence the fake pregnant belly you see above.  i was meg in little women.)  there was this one time in a dressing room after a show and i was jealous of this girl (that everybody knew, mind you) because she got a part in another play that i wanted.  i loudly badmouthed her in front of everyone and thought it would be fine because i didn't think anyone knew her.  but then i realized the girl's sister was in the room and i was so mortified and embarrassed and felt oh so very bad.  the sister was nice about it and accepted my apology, but i felt soooo stupid and just ugh. that was so immature of me.

//my family was all home for Christmas and i had gotten salt as a gift.  one night, my family wanted to watch it but i was tired and wanted to go to bed.  i refused to let them borrow it.  it was my Christmas present and it was miiiiiiiine.  i didn't want them borrowing my stuff!!! again. ugh. oh lauren. you were sooooo immature back then. writing these makes me cringe.

//when i lived in LA, i lived with a guy and a girl.  i came home from work one night and the kitchen was a mess.  they had already eaten their dinner but hadn't cleaned up yet!! i started yelling at my male roommate and was so irritated that the kitchen wasn't clean. when i think about it now, i think 'really, lauren?  are you their mother?'  my roommates were respectful and i knew they would have cleaned it up eventually, i was just irritated and had had a long day and chose to take my frustrations out on my poor roommates.  ugh. i can't believe i did that.

//once when i was kid, i was so annoyed with my sister because she was laughing at me and hurting my feelings but didn't seem to care, so i put a piece of pie on her head.  my sister just started laughing more and to this day when she brings it up, she laughs about it then, too!  i am so ashamed.  ugh. i can't believe it did that!

there is going to be a part two of this post, so stay tuned!

what are some things you can't believe you did?

what are your plans for the weekend?  we are heading down after work to my hometown, 300 miles south of where we live (it will be 106 all weekend!!) and my entire family is coming down for fourth of july fun.  there will be lots of tubing at the lake, playing with the sweet babies, and good food.  all you need for a good fourth of july weekend!! i am really, really excited.  have an AMAZING weekend my dears!

ps. i just want to thank each and everyone of you who takes the stop by my little space of the internet every day.  blogging makes me so happy, and has helped me in so many ways in my life.  so it means so much to me that you stop by and read and comment! a big kiss to you! mwuah! or just that big lip emoji.
